Job summary

Boston University Undergraduate Admissions seeks an Assistant Director. The role involves representing the University at programs on and off campus while managing a recruitment territory and building a diverse applicant pool.

Extensive domestic travel, collaboration with high school personnel and community partners, and participation in admission committees are expected. Evening and weekend hours and travel are common requirements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is a requirement for this position.
• Has 2 years of directly-related experience.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Is a strong written and oral communicator, and;
• Has a valid driver’s license.
• Applicants should be prepared to complete a CORI background check at point of hire.

Responsibilities

• Represent the University at programs both on and off campus while managing a recruitment territory.
• Extensively travel domestically to build and maintain relationships with high school personnel, community-based organizations, prospective students and families.
• Holistically review and evaluate applications for admission and participate in our committee process.
• Identify potential scholarship candidates and maintain knowledge of BU and the field of college admissions.
• Evening and weekend hours are necessary for most of the calendar year, as well as travel for days or weeks at a time.
