Job summary

DNTB is seeking a Senior Director, Risk Officer to lead the Enterprise Risk Management program and provide independent risk oversight for the Bank's strategy and regulatory expectations.

The role partners with executive management and the Audit & Risk Committee to translate risk priorities into scalable programs, reports, and actions across the organization, including one direct report and ongoing improvements to risk processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in banking or risk management.
• Ability to translate risk requirements into practical programs and deliverables.
• Experience leading employees and communicating risk matters to senior management, Board committees, and/or regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation and maturation of the ERM program, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, issue management, escalation, and reporting.
• Maintain and evolve the Risk Appetite Statement, KRIs, thresholds, and escalation mechanisms; assess alignment with strategy and risk profile.
• Prepare and present concise risk reporting to the President, management committees, ARC, and Board, including material and emerging risks and remediation status.
• Provide independent risk monitoring and challenge while collaborating to develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Conduct or coordinate risk assessments for new products, services, partnerships, and major initiatives.
• Own ERM work products and initiatives, including policies, risk assessments, GRC capabilities, issue management, risk reporting, and related automation.
• Partner with Compliance, Credit, Finance/Treasury, Technology, Information Security, Operations, Legal, Internal Audit, and others to support ERM.
• Lead ERM engagement with OCC and other regulators, including examinations and remediation of observations.
• Lead and develop the ERM team, including one direct report, with clear priorities and accountability.
