Job summary

Core Bank, a high-performing community bank, seeks a Director of Risk & Compliance to lead enterprise risk management and related governance across ERM, regulatory compliance, and technology risk. Reporting to the CRO, you will drive risk strategy, partner with leadership, and ensure a forward-looking risk framework that supports safe growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership experience in banking, financial services, technology, risk management, compliance, audit, or related disciplines.
• Experience across multiple risk domains including ERM, Operational Risk, Technology Risk, Information Security & Cybersecurity, Third-Party Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Enterprise Risk Management strategic plan and ERM programs.
• Translate the CRO’s priorities into actionable plans, accountabilities, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Serve as CRO's primary delegate and leader in governance forums and management committees.
• Oversee Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, AI governance and emerging technology risk.
• Own Third-Party Risk Management and governance of material relationships.
• Support CRO with risk decisions, reporting and issue remediation as needed.
