Job summary

Covetrus is seeking a Senior Director of Ecommerce to own the performance and growth of the online pharmacy business. You will lead cross-functional teams across Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Technology, and Operations to scale a high-growth digital business serving veterinary practices and pet owners.

This senior leadership role carries P&L responsibility and requires a proven track record in ecommerce strategy, conversion optimization, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree with a master’s in computer science or business desired.
• Experience: 10+ years of ecommerce or digital business experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven ownership of a high-volume ecommerce P&L.
• Strong strategic and operational balance to craft high-level digital strategies and execute hands-on digital performance plans.
• Strong background in conversion optimization, digital merchandising, and customer LTV.
• Experience in regulated, complex, or fulfillment-heavy environments preferred.
• Data-driven decision maker comfortable with ambiguity and tradeoffs; data/analytics to guide strategy.
• Strong communicator with planning and execution skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define ecommerce strategy and growth.
• Own the ecommerce and revenue plan for the online pharmacy.
• Drive growth across acquisition, conversion, retention, and AOV.
• Translate company goals into prioritised ecommerce plans.
• Identify new growth opportunities across channels, partnerships, and product mix.
• Own the end-to-end customer journey, from first visit through reorder and subscription.
• Collaborate with Product and UX to improve site experience, checkout, and mobile performance.
• Use data and testing to improve conversion rates and engagement.
• Lead ecommerce merchandising strategy including pricing, promotions, subscriptions, and assortments.
• Partner with Marketing on paid media, lifecycle, and on-site campaigns.
• Ensure alignment between traffic strategy and on-site experience.
• Define and track core ecommerce KPIs (revenue, margin, CAC, LTV, retention).
• Communicate performance and tradeoffs to executive leadership.
• Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team; set goals and accountability.
