Job summary

Central Garden & Pet Company is seeking an seasoned E‑Commerce Director (or Senior Director) to lead growth across digital channels for premier brands including Nylabone, Four Paws, Cadet, and more. You will own P&Ls, develop data‑driven strategies, and drive AI‑assisted optimization at scale.

The role partners with Marketing, Sales, and Ops to optimize assortment, pricing, and content, while expanding Amazon Vendor and Seller Central capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in e-Commerce, ideally supporting consumer goods.
• Proven track record of identifying new opportunities or process improvements to drive revenue.
• Experience owning a P&L across various commerce models.
• Ability to adapt effectively to change and thrive in ambiguity.
• Experience launching and supporting Amazon Vendor and Seller Central.
• Identify, develop, and implement E-Commerce strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
• Highly analytical; Expert in account level eCommerce management and reporting tools.
• Deep understanding of E-Commerce space, overall trends, and technology.
• Ability to independently learn new tools and technology to support the business.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and create strong relationships to achieve objectives.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment in a highly visible role.
• Intellectual curiosity and thirst for innovation and success.
• Highly organized, accurate, proactive and positive.
• 5+ years’ experience in Shopify or similar tools a plus.
• Knowledge of pet category preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the short- and long-term eCommerce vision across brands and channels.
• Own full eCommerce P&Ls and drive growth through data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and sales to optimize digital commerce performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand Amazon Vendor and Seller Central operations.
• Manage assortment, pricing, promotions, and digital content for strong ROIs.
• Forecast demand, manage budgets, and monitor channel profitability.
