Job summary

Oscar Health seeks a Senior Director of Data Science, Core Insurance & Network to lead data science across Claims, Authorization Services, Pharmacy, and Network. This role defines strategy, mentors leaders, and partners with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to improve affordability and member/provider experience.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data science or analytics with cross-functional impact.
• 8+ years using SQL and Python, R to analyze large datasets.
• 8+ years applying advanced analytics, experimentation, ML, or large-scale data processing to business decisions.
• 7+ years working with data in healthcare.
• 7+ years working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
• 5+ years of people management leading data teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy, roadmap, outcomes, and resource allocation for Core Insurance and Network data science.
• Lead multi-team organization through managers and senior leaders; develop talent and inclusive culture.
• Partner with technology leaders to align priorities and resolve tradeoffs across domains.
• Own portfolio impact using analytics and ML to improve affordability and experience.
• Deliver scalable, explainable data science solutions embedded in workflows with governance and privacy.
• Establish decision rights, cadences, and ownership for cross-team work.
