Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Analytics, SIU to join its SIU team in New York City with a hybrid schedule (3 in-office days per week). The role partners across the organization to scope, analyze, and monitor performance of key financial and utilization metrics, reducing waste and improving care quality.

The Senior Analyst collaborates with stakeholders, speaks to analyses, and helps create dashboards and tools to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with analytical tools and writing analytical reports.
• Experience with large datasets and distilling analyses into insights.
• Strong communication skills for business reporting across technical and non-technical users.
• Experience in SQL, filtering/aggregating/CTEs; or proficiency in R or Python with Pandas.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel with VLOOKUP, nested IFs, and linked sheets.
• 1+ years in healthcare, finance, or insurance.
• 1+ years preparing healthcare analytics and reporting.
• 1+ years experience in managing value-based contracts (payer or provider).
• 1+ years developing dashboards with Looker or other BI tools.
• Exposure to healthcare contracts, risk adjustment, ACA marketplace, quality of care, population health.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to support business teams in data-driven decisions.
• Tell stories with data for non-technical audiences; present findings clearly.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of dashboards and adapt to user needs.
• Create models/tools to identify and remove inefficiencies.
• Collaborate across the organization to drive improvements and monitor impact.
• Support strategic projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
