Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Director of Core Insurance & Network to lead data science across Claims, Authorization Services, Pharmacy, Payment Integrity, and Network. You will set strategy, develop leaders, and partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to improve affordability and provider experience.

This high-impact role reports to the VP of Data and can be based in NYC, LA, Tempe, or remotely in several US markets. Hybrid work with in-office days is supported.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field with strategy experience.
• 8+ years using SQL and Python, R, or similar for large datasets.
• 8+ years applying analytics, modeling, ML, or big data to business decisions.
• 7+ years working with healthcare data.
• 7+ years in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• 5+ years of people management leading managers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy, roadmap, outcomes, and resources for Core Insurance and Network DS portfolio.
• Lead multi-team org; develop talent and nurture inclusive culture.
• Partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to align priorities.
• Apply analytics, experimentation, modeling, and ML to improve affordability and performance.
• Deliver scalable, explainable DS solutions embedded in business workflows.
• Establish clear ownership, planning cadences, and cross-team governance.
• Define success measures and communicate progress to executives; shape DS strategy.
• Other duties as assigned.
