Job summary

Oscar Health seeks a Senior Director of Data Science for Core Insurance & Network to drive analytics across Claims, Authorization, Pharmacy, and Network. You will set strategy, align leaders, and partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to improve affordability, performance, and member/provider experience.

You will own portfolio outcomes, guide scalable DS solutions, and uphold governance, privacy, and security standards while developing talent and leading cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience applying analytics, experiments, modeling, or large-scale data processing to business decisions.
• 12+ years in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field with strategy delivery of cross-functional data products.
• 7+ years in data work within healthcare and 7+ years coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• 5+ years of people management, leading managers and analytics teams; leadership in health insurance is valued.
• Master’s or PhD in a quantitative/technical field or equivalent applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy, roadmap, outcomes, and resource allocation for Core Insurance and Network DS portfolio.
• Lead a multi-team organization through managers and senior technical leaders; develop talent and culture.
• Partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to align priorities and tradeoffs.
• Own portfolio impact with analytics, ML, and governance to improve affordability and experience.
