Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Director of Operations to own the day-to-day reliability of our data center portfolio, including staffing, maintenance, and incident handling. You will create and enforce standard operating procedures across sites and partner with vendors to ensure reliable, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in facility or data center operations.
• 5+ years managing operations teams across multiple sites.
• Experience owning uptime, maintenance, and staffing for mission-critical facilities.
• Track record building or scaling an operations function in a growing portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operational performance across live data centers, including uptime, maintenance, and incident response.
• Build and enforce the operating standard across all facilities: staffing, maintenance schedules, escalation procedures.
• Manage facility operations teams and site leads across multiple locations; ensure consistent execution.
• Own vendor relationships and service contracts; monitor performance and SLAs.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution for incidents; update standards to prevent recurrence.
• Own the portfolio operations budget and staffing trade-offs as facilities come online.
• Report on operational health and risk to executive leadership across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with commissioning/construction teams for clean handoffs to steady-state ops.
• Drive continuous improvement in procedures as the portfolio scales.
