Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Director of Operations to own the day-to-day reliability, staffing, maintenance, and performance of its data centers in operation. You will build and enforce the operating standard across the portfolio, and manage facility operations teams and vendor relationships to ensure uptime.

You will oversee budget and staffing, drive continuous improvement, and partner with executive leadership to scale a growing data center portfolio while maintaining safety and reliability

Qualifications

• 10+ years of facility or data center operations experience.
• 5+ years managing operations across multiple sites.
• Experience owning uptime, maintenance, and staffing for mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling, BMS).
• Experience with budgets and vendor contracts across sites.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operational performance across live facilities, including uptime and incident response.
• Build and enforce operating standards across all facilities, including staffing and maintenance schedules.
• Manage site leads and vendor relationships across multiple locations.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution for operational incidents and update standards.
• Own the operations budget and staff planning for facilities as they come online.
• Report on health, risk, and performance to executive leadership.
