Job summary

Giga Energy is hiring a Head of Data Center Commissioning to own the commissioning program across a portfolio of AI data center facilities. You will build and lead the team, set standards, and oversee scheduling, resourcing, and budget across multiple concurrent projects.

You’ll interact with ownership and executives to align on risk and status, and shape the company-wide commissioning approach. Remote work is supported with 20–25% travel to sites and manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commissioning with 5+ years leading a team across multiple projects.
• Experience commissioning mission-critical facilities at a program level.
• Track record building or scaling a commissioning function from the ground up.
• Deep knowledge of MEP and electrical systems to set standards.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships across projects.
• Strong ability to present to ownership/executive stakeholders on risk and status.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and controls sequences.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the commissioning program across all active projects.
• Lead and develop a team of Cx Leads and Managers.
• Own the commissioning schedule and resourcing strategy across multiple projects.
• Serve as the primary point of accountability to ownership and executives.
• Set and enforce standards for commissioning plans, FPTs, and IST procedures.
• Own vendor and subcontractor strategy across the portfolio.
• Establish and maintain deficiency tracking and auditable handoff packages.
• Report on commissioning progress, risk, and budget to leadership.
• Own the commissioning budget and make trade-off calls on resourcing.
