Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Senior Director, Development to lead customer deployment projects for Mission Critical Facilities, coordinating with the Property Development team, Sales, Operations and customers to ensure design and delivery meet high expectations.

The role requires a strong background in data center design and construction management, with the ability to travel up to 50% and to align objectives across multiple groups, timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the Property Development team and supporting consultants to support customer design needs, pricing, approvals, and implementation.
• Align clients’ objectives, business processes, and vendor strategies across QTS to deliver on time and on budget.
• Drive effective client relationship management and cost management to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Serve as single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.
