Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Director of Development (Data Center Construction) to lead critical facilities projects across locations in the United States. The role focuses on steering design, engineering, and execution for new client deployments, coordinating with the sales, operations, and development teams to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
• 10+ years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities.
• 5+ years in data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.
• Be able to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer deployment project delivery for each sold deal within each QTS location.
• Coordinate with the QTS Property Development team, and supporting specialty consultants, to support customer’s design needs, pricing, customer approvals, & implementation of specific deployment scopes.
• Manage the delivery of these projects, aligning clients’ objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts across the QTS organization.
• Drive effective client relationship management and efficient cost management, with the ultimate goal of delivering the project on time and on budget.
• Serve as a single contact for Federal sales support on potential secured deals.
