Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Senior Director of Customer Logistics to drive P&L responsibilities within a geographic region and lead growth across multiple sites. You will build strong relationships with senior customer management, represent Ryder in meetings, and support the sales process for new opportunities while ensuring safety and financial targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field or an additional two (2) related experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Ten (10) years or more logistics/supply chain experience in multiple locations (plants, warehouses, transportation hubs) required.
• Five (5) years or more experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required.
• Five (5) years or more P&L responsibility including forecasting and managing financial targets required.
• Six (6) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
• Six (6) years or more managing large multi-level teams required.
• Five (5) years or more experience implementing a LEAN work environment preferred.
• Four (4) years or more managing customer relationships and interaction required.
• Four (4) years or more managing customer KPIs required.
• Three (3) years or more experience presenting to senior management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with senior customer management and act as the primary contact for key decisions.
• Represent Ryder in customer meetings and presentations to drive retention and growth.
• Support sales by participating in new business opportunities.
• Manage operations to meet financial targets and safety goals.
• Lead talent development, coaching and mentorship for direct reports.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across locations.
