Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Senior Manager or Associate Director to lead BioPharma Business Development across the US West Coast and Central States. You will drive new customer acquisition, develop strategic accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver NGS-based genomic assays, biomarker discovery, and CDx opportunities.

The role requires 5+ years in biopharma business development or sales, a strong hunter mentality, and the ability to build a robust Salesforce pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in biopharma business development or sales with pharma partners
• Direct experience selling into pharma/biopharma organisations
• Strong understanding of precision medicine, genomics or translational research
• Proven ability to build pipeline and convert opportunities into signed projects
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel ~30% domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development across biopharma accounts in US West Coast and Central States
• Build and progress opportunities with pharma partners to signed engagements
• Lead discussions on precision medicine offerings including companion diagnostics
• Develop and maintain a Salesforce pipeline from initial contact to deal close
• Collaborate with scientific, commercial, and operations teams to shape customer solutions
• Travel domestically and internationally up to ~30%
