Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Senior Manager or Associate Director to lead BioPharma business development across the US West Coast and Central States. You will drive new customer acquisition, expand strategic accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert opportunities into signed engagements.

In this role, you will engage with biopharma partners on NGS-based genomic assays, biomarkers, and CDx solutions, traveling up to 30% to nurture client relationships and close deals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in biopharma business development, sales, or related roles.
• Direct experience selling into biopharma organizations.
• Strong understanding of precision medicine, genomics, or translational research.
• Proven ability to build pipeline and convert opportunities into proposals and signed business.
• Hunter mentality with a customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across scientific and commercial audiences.
• BSc, MSc, or equivalent in a relevant scientific or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Drive new customer acquisition and strategic account development across biopharma.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build pipeline momentum.
• Convert opportunities into signed projects and expand SOPHiA GENETICS' presence.
• Lead discussions on precision medicine offerings, pilot studies and CDx opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a Salesforce pipeline from interest to deal close.
• Partner with scientific, commercial, and operational teams to shape solutions.
• Travel domestically and internationally to meet customers and attend events ~30%.
