Job summary

SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Senior Manager or Associate Director for the BioPharma Business Development Team to drive new customer acquisition and strategic account development across biopharma partners in the US West Coast and Central States.

You will collaborate with scientific, commercial, and operational colleagues to build pipeline momentum and expand our presence with NGS-based solutions and CDx powered by the SOPHiA DDM platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in biopharma business development, sales, or highly commercial roles supporting biopharma customers.
• Direct experience selling into or engaging pharmaceutical and mid-sized biopharma organisations.
• Strong understanding of precision medicine, genomics, translational research, diagnostic applications, or related biopharma areas.
• Proven ability to build pipeline, progress conversations, and convert opportunities into proposals.
• Customer-facing role with hunter mentality and strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development across biopharma accounts in the US West Coast and Central States.
• Build and progress opportunities through proposal development and deal close.
• Lead discussions on precision medicine offerings, pilot studies, and companion diagnostics.
• Maintain a healthy Salesforce pipeline from interest to signed engagements.
• Collaborate with scientific, commercial, and operational teams to shape customer solutions.
