Job summary

Gartner, Inc. seeks a Senior Director, Analyst in the BTI group to lead research and deliver must-have insights on agentic AI and IT security. You will engage clients through in-person and virtual meetings, conferences, and briefings, shaping the research agenda and business outcomes.

You will build credibility with CIOs and business leaders, mentor analysts, and collaborate with global teams in a hybrid role that requires travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure cybersecurity, secure networking architecture, or related IT domains.
• Knowledge of major infrastructure cybersecurity AI offerings from vendors (e.g., Palo Alto, Netskope, Cato, Fortinet, Cisco, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft).
• Expertise in agentic AI architectures, frontier AI models, and autonomous cybersecurity agents.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have insights” content.
• Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and actionable client approaches.
• Develop in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing Insights positions across a team of analysts.
• Provide clients and vendors with actionable insights via virtual or in-person meetings.
