Job summary

Gartner seeks aSenior Director within the BTI group to lead research and craft must-have insights for world‑leading organizations. You will drive client conversations via in‑person and virtual meetings, conferences, and briefings while shaping a rigorous research agenda.

With 12+ years in the field and expertise in data architecture and AI-ready data management, you will mentor analysts and collaborate across a global team, traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field experience.
• Expertise in data architecture and data operations.
• Expertise in database or data integration practices.
• Experience in AI-ready data management approaches.
• Experience with using agents in data management processes.
• Demonstrate executive presence; can immediately establish credibility with executives and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrate excellence in research and writing ability.
• Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Deep knowledge of global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a matrixed global environment.
• Learning agile and adept at navigating matrixed environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, must-have insights content.
• Develop new insights through thought leadership for client needs.
• Identify root causes and reframing to drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership across a team of analysts.
• Provide provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders.
• Research, analyze and predict market trends for actionable insights.
• Provide clients with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
• Create high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and briefings.
• Support BTI and Sales as the voice of the market.
• Provide high-quality and timely content peer review.
• Build credibility as an industry expert for Gartner insights.
• Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with peers.
• Identify research process improvements or new processes for service delivery.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Be client-centric and engage regularly with Gartner insights.
