Job summary

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director in the Business and Technology Insights group who will lead market research, develop must-have insights, and guide clients through complex security challenges.

You will speak at events, advise on policy and deployment, and collaborate with global teams to drive Gartner’s research agenda. You will mentor peers, demonstrate executive presence, and travel up to 25% to engage clients and peers across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant field or industry.
• In-depth knowledge of network security technologies, vendors, and deployment best practices.
• Focus on advising clients on evaluation, selection, and deployment for Firewall and related technologies.
• Experience with AI in security (e.g., AI in firewalls or runtime defenses) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SSE/SASE, Zero Trust, SIEM tools and use cases.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought provoking, highly leveraged insights.
• Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership for client needs.
• Identify root causes and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward.
• Demonstrate thought leadership across a team of analysts.
• Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or in-person meetings.
• Create compelling presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support Sales by serving as a voice of the market and drive client engagement.
• Peer review high-quality content in a timely manner.
• Build credibility as Gartner insights on methodology and strategy.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across the Insights community.
