Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering in Chicago to lead a high-impact team responsible for securing Ripple's products, infrastructure, and corporate IT systems. You will define security strategy, embed security into the development lifecycle, and drive AI/LLM security guardrails across the stack.

You will mentor engineers, oversee vulnerability management, and partner with senior leadership to balance innovation with risk in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of security engineering experience with leadership roles
• Deep understanding of AI security including LLMs and agentic workflows
• Strong knowledge of cloud environments, application stacks, and network security

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision and roadmap for the Security Engineering team
• Define AI agent guardrails and SDLC controls
• Lead security architecture reviews for new products and infrastructure
