Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Director of Security Engineering to lead a dedicated team securing products, infrastructure, and corporate IT. You will embed security across the stack, set roadmaps, and define guardrails for AI agents and development workflows.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical expertise in AI security, cloud security, cryptography, and secure coding practices, with a focus on safeguarding both customers and systems.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years in security engineering, with 5+ years in leadership or management.
• Hands-on expertise in AI security, including guardrails for agents and LLM risks.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of cryptographic principles and secure coding practices.
• Experience with authentication/authorization standards (OAuth, SAML, OIDC).
• IT security including endpoint protection, network security, IAM, and policy enforcement.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk identification.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision and roadmap for the Security Engineering team.
• Define guardrails around AI agents and tools within Ripple's environment.
• Lead security architecture reviews for new products and major initiatives.
• Own the vulnerability management program and remediation prioritization.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT leadership to align security priorities.
