Job summary

Chase is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple technical areas within the Card Technology organization. You will drive the adoption of AI-enabled engineering, cloud-native modernization, and robust SDLC practices across multi-region deployments.

You will define governance for AI-assisted development, implement secure IAM controls, and oversee incident response automation to improve reliability and cost-to-serve while collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading technologists.
• Experience guiding large, cross-functional engineering teams at scale.
• Proven ability to drive standards, platforms, and operating model changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple technology and process implementations to meet firmwide tech objectives.
• Directly manage multi-area teams with strategic transactional focus, balancing speed, risk, resiliency and cost.
• Define and enforce cloud architecture patterns and platform modernization.
• Drive IaC adoption and portfolio standards using Terraform for repeatable provisioning.
• Improve security controls, IAM and least-privilege across cloud environments.
• Oversee resilience engineering programs including chaos testing and incident response automation.
