Job summary

Chase looks for a seasoned software engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable Java services and APIs. You will architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and data teams to optimize workflows and enable data-driven decisions.

You will also build data pipelines and drive secure SDLC practices, including AI-assisted tooling, to raise quality and speed of delivery across squads.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of scalable Java services and APIs, optimizing for performance, resiliency, and maintainability in production environments.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, applying patterns for reliability, observability, and cost-aware scalability.
• Mentor engineers through thoughtful code reviews, design guidance, and pragmatic engineering standards that raise quality and accelerate delivery.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data partners to define technical strategies that improve user experience and automate key workflows.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark to enable analytics and machine learning workflows at scale.
• Drive engineering excellence across CI/CD, automated testing, and secure software development practices.
• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve value realized by automation at scale.
