Job summary

South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD-OIDD) is seeking a Direct Support Professional supervisor at Pee Dee Regional Center in Florence, SC to oversee DSP I/II staff and ensure high-quality care. The role includes documentation oversight, safety monitoring, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and one year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing ICF-IID.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and comply with regulations and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer skills required.
Ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with lifting, standing, and movement.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day supervision of Direct Support Professionals I and II.
Ensure all ISP documentation is completed and monitor safety of consumers.
Ensure Active Treatment and monitor progress via ID Team programs and GER entries.
Report significant events and any suspected abuse per policy.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
