Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks a Direct Support Manager (QIDP) to lead a residential unit at Whitten Regional Center in Clinton, SC.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, ensure active treatment and accurate documentation, and communicate with guardians and staff to support individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• Two years of related experience providing professional or direct services, including at least one year working with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and oversees Direct Support Professional staff across one or more residential buildings.
• Ensures services and interventions meet identified needs and are documented accurately and timely.
• Maintains training and supervision of staff, monitors schedules and conducts annual performance evaluations.
• Communicates with guardians/advocates about significant events, and coordinates with program staff to resolve discrepancies.
