Job summary

The State of South Carolina, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Florence, SC, seeks Direct Support Professionals with strong supervision and documentation skills to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Under supervision, you will oversee DSP I and II staff, ensure ISP compliance, and monitor safety and care. A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience are required; sign-on and shift differential are offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and one year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing ICF-IID and relevant directives.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, lead a team and maintain effective relationships; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professional I and II on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure ISP documentation is complete and monitor safety and care of consumers.
• Oversee active treatment and monitoring of behavior data sheets and GER entries in THERAP.
• Report significant events and suspected abuse per policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
