Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor in Summerville, SC. You will oversee DSP I and II staff, ensure ISP documentation, and help deliver active treatment plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of relevant experience, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing ICF-IID and related directives.
• Ability to supervise staff, exercise sound judgment and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professional I and II staff on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure documentation for Individual Support Plans (ISP) is complete.
• Monitor safety and care, implement Active Treatment per ID Team plans.
• Report significant events and suspected abuse per policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
