Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional to provide reliable, compassionate, and person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time day-shift role runs 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and includes training, advancement opportunities, and a bi-weekly pay schedule.

Starting pay is $20.70 per hour with earning potential up to $24.70 per hour through differentials and overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• 1+ year of direct support professional experience (DSP).
• Background in medical case management is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in residential settings, assisting with daily living activities.
• Support medication administration, meal preparation, and transportation as needed.
• Encourage participation in community activities and personal goal attainment.
• Maintain accurate electronic notes and communicate with supervisors.
