Job summary

The Arc Ocean County Chapter in Ocean County, New Jersey is seeking dependable Overnight Direct Support Professionals to provide awake overnight support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential homes. The role requires remaining attentive, independent work, and a commitment to person-centered care.

Shift runs 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM with starting pay of $20.70 per hour and potential up to $24.70 per hour with differentials and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• New Jersey driver{}s license in good standing with no more than five points.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment during emergencies.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting or assisting with up to 50 pounds and daily living tasks.
• Strong communication, reliability, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attentive overnight supervision to ensure safety and well-being.
• Perform hourly status checks and other overnight monitoring duties.
• Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies or medical concerns.
• Recognize and report safety, maintenance, and environmental issues in the residence.
• Complete logs, medication records, and incident reports within required timeframes.
• Share relevant overnight information with incoming staff to ensure continuity.
