Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, reliable care and strong communication for adults with developmental disabilities in full-time day shifts. You will support daily routines, meals, medications, transportation, and independent living goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Medical case management experience.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five points.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in residential group homes, supervised living programs, and throughout the day.
• Assist with daily living needs, including meal prep, medication support, personal care, and transportation.
• Reinforce routines and personal responsibility to promote independence.
• Support individuals in working toward ISPs and track progress.
• Complete electronic documentation and daily service notes; maintain accurate program records.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with Residential Services team to deliver dependable, compassionate support.
