Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional to join our Residential Services team in Ocean County, NJ. This hands-on role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home environments, helping with daily living and promoting independence.

You’ll receive training and ongoing support, with evening shifts 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, full-time and part-time opportunities, and bi-weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment.
• One year of longevity with a previous employer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Encourage participation in routines, hobbies, and community events.
• Complete electronic documentation and medication records accurately and on time.
• Share updates with supervisors, families, and healthcare providers.
