Job summary

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a full-time day-shift role in New Jersey. You will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them begin their day with confidence and stay connected to home and community.

Expect a 40-hour workweek, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM shift, and pay starting at $20.70 per hour with earning potential up to $24.70 per hour through differential pay and overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of prior Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience.
• Medical case management experience preferred.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing with no more than five points.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support in residential group homes, supervised apartments, and supported living programs.
• Assist individuals with daily living needs (meal prep, medication support, household tasks, personal care, transportation).
• Reinforce routines, skills, and independence; support progress toward ISPs.
• Support participation in community activities, outings, and social experiences.
• Complete electronic documentation and maintain safety and quality of care.
