Job summary

EY is hiring a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release and production support. You’ll stay hands-on with coding while guiding multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across time zones.

You will mentor engineers, manage dependencies, and partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and clients to translate requirements into achievable delivery plans. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework, preferably Angular or React, and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery practices and distributed teamwork.
• Mentorship and coaching skills to improve engineering practices.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures using Kafka or equivalent.
• Experience with logging/monitoring/observability tools like Splunk.
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, or Flink for batch/real-time data processing.
• Ability to manage delivery risks and client communications; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and front-end frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and reviews.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers with technical coaching, design reviews, and career development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven/data-processing solutions with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink when required.
