Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, coordinate across distributed teams, and partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework (Angular or React) and guiding full-stack decisions.
• Experience deploying enterprise apps on a major cloud platform.
• Proficiency with source control, build automation, CI/CD, container deployments, tests, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking.
• Ability to lead distributed teams across geographies and communicate with stakeholders.
• Mentorship and coaching to improve engineering practices and team capability.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
• Experience with logging/monitoring/observability tools like Splunk.
• Knowledge of Hadoop/Spark/Flink for batch or real-time data processing.
• Ability to manage delivery risks, issues, and client communications in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and technical proofs-of-concept.
• Guide solution design with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and estimation.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and ensure timely decisions.
• Mentor engineers through coaching, code reviews, and career development conversations.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and clients to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink.
