Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate delivery across time zones, and partner with product owners to translate requirements into achievable plans. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience with leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework (Angular or React) and guiding full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications on a major cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and front-end frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, daily coordination, demonstrations, and release readiness.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, and manage dependencies, risks, and client communications.
