Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician III to perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role involves diagnosing complex vehicle systems, training junior technicians, and ensuring quality before delivery to customers.

The ideal candidate has a Diesel Technology degree and 7+ years' hands-on experience with class 7 & 8 trucks, including 53’ trailers, plus strong welding and diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks and repair of 53’ trailers.
• Welding experience and ability to use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Train new service shop employees on repair procedures.
• Inspect orders for completeness and quality before delivery to customers.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Repair brakes, fuel systems, electrical systems, and exhaust components.
• Overhaul, troubleshoot and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repairs using proper equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
