Job summary

FleetPride in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Technician III to expertly perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicle systems and to train other technicians. You will diagnose complex issues, replace components, and ensure safety and quality in every repair.

Applicants should have a Diesel Technology degree with 7+ years on Class 7 & 8 trucks, experience with 53’ trailers, and strong customer-service skills. A robust benefits package starts on day one.

Qualifications

Diesel technology degree and 7+ years of class 7 & 8 truck experience.
Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
Able to train other technicians.
Strong safety record and customer service skills.
Welding experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicle systems.
Repair brakes, suspensions, electrical and exhaust systems.
Test drive and diagnose vehicle issues.
Train new service shop employees.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Review service orders for completeness and quality.
