Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician III in Georgia to perform preventative maintenance and advanced diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will train junior technicians, inspect orders for quality, and perform complex repairs with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a Diesel Technology Associate degree, 7+ years in Class 7/8 trucks, and experience repairing 53' trailers, with strong diagnostic and welding abilities; tools provided.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree and hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• 7+ years working on Class 7/8 trucks and 53' trailers.
• Strong diagnostic, training, and welding capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions.
• Train new service shop employees on procedures.
• Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery to customers.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes.
• Test drive vehicles and components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension, electrical, exhaust, and other systems.
• Overhaul and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
• Work in a non-climate controlled shop.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
