Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and service engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

As a lead-level technician, you will mentor others, work with Penske's training programs, and use advanced diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of practical maintenance experience on trucks and tractor-trailers.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to ensure road readiness.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Log and research repairs using Penske tools and tech.
• Learn new skills through Penske training.
• Support other initiatives and projects as assigned.
