Job summary

FleetPride in Valdosta, GA, is seeking an experienced Technician III to perform preventative maintenance and advanced repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. You will diagnose vehicle systems, train junior technicians, and ensure quality before customer delivery.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with class 7/8 trucks, diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and related components. A strong safety record and tool readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree or equivalent training.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Train new service shop employees on company procedures regarding vehicle repairs.
• Inspect orders for completion and quality before presentation or delivery to customers.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).
• Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair suspension, electrical, exhaust, steering and A/C systems.
