Job summary

FleetPride is the nation’s largest distributor of heavy-duty truck parts, seeking a skilled Technician III for our Georgia area shop. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicle systems, train junior technicians, and ensure quality on every order.

Qualifications

Diesel Technology Associates degree or equivalent training.
Proven training experience with technicians.
Experience with heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks and 53’ trailers is preferred.

Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions.
Train new technicians on company procedures.
Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery.
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication and filter changes.
Repair and adjust brakes and brake components.
Test drive vehicles and diagnose component issues.
Troubleshoot and repair suspension systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and exhaust systems.
Overhaul and repair diesel and gasoline engines.
Review service orders and plan tasks to complete orders timely.
Finish surfaces with grinding and smoothing.
Access vehicle bodies by removing trim and upholstery.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
