Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet.

You will lead by example, mentor others informally, and work independently while handling major repairs and routine tasks. You will learn Penske's vehicle maintenance processes, receive training to advance your career, and operate with top-tier tools and diagnostics in a clean, well-equipped shop.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials).
• Keeping work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs.
• Learning new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
