Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE Certification and 608/609 preferred.
• Able to use diagnostic and hand/power tools; CDL preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel within district; DOT safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision and timely execution.
• Repair major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and replace assemblies.
• Keep work area clean and safe; log repairs using Penske tools.
• Learn Penske maintenance processes and participate in technician training.
• Work on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
