Job summary

FleetPride in Nashville is hiring a Diesel Technician II to diagnose, maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance, service brakes, suspensions, electrical and exhaust systems, and diagnose issues with limited supervision.

Applicants should have a Diesel Technology degree and 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks, plus welding and airbrake credentials. Company offers paid training and tool program.

Qualifications

• Diesel tech requires welding and airbrake certification.
• Experience handling class 7 & 8 trucks preferred.
• Must provide personal hand tools, air tools and toolbox.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine services.
• Repair, replace, and adjust brakes, suspensions, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Test drive vehicles and components, diagnose system failures and propose repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
