Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex repairs on a fleet of advanced refuse vehicles. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of experience with heavy-duty trucks; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform complex repairs.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL (Class B or higher) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance on heavy trucks.
• Repair and diagnostics for refuse bodies including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics; Diesel fuel systems and REGEN diagnostics.
• Maintenance of air brake systems, HVAC, suspension, and drive train components.
• Electrical diagnostics and repairs using scan tools; welding and fabrication as needed.
