Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment. You will work on chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and drive train systems, with training on new technologies as needed.

The role focuses on diagnosing complex issues, performing inspections, and maintaining a single fleet with advanced equipment. A CDL and ASE credentials are beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to perform inspections/repairs without supervision in various heavy truck systems.
• CDL and ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge and proficiency in chassis, hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems.
• Repair and diagnose engine, fuel, suspension, drive train, and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
• Complete company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
