Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Duluth, GA seeks a Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will work in our Engine Shop, mentoring teammates and leading projects as needed while upholding quality craftsmanship.

The role emphasizes diagnosing tough engine issues, staying current with OEM bulletins, and collaborating with Parts and Service to keep repairs on schedule. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification required.
• Master Technician certifications preferred; ASE a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform engine and transmission rebuilds and preventive maintenance.
• Document repairs and diagnostic findings accurately.
• Mentor apprentices and lead project work when needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized shop environment.
