Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Penske Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske tools to diagnose and service vehicles and ensure they are safe and on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication; some electrical and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
